Harry potter online game/mmorpg/hogwarts!!!!?

hello i have some ideas for the online Hogwarts.Recently i am searching the net for online interactive "harry potter game" or like "virtual hogwarts".but all i see is only a forum based sites.There is no 3d interactive harry potter game anywhere uptil now.sites came up with this virtual hogwarts ideas but they lack in graphics.they only can provide is forums.sites which have the zero graphics also have thousands and thousands of users because there is no other site which is better than these.so if some ppl interesting in creating the dream game "Online hogwarts" that is MMORPG of hogwarts then we should create one community in which all people who is interested in creating the game will join.we can also talk to EA through their forums.because EA has rights for the harry potter games.so if you realy want the game on the net, lets start preparing for it not just talking about it!!i am little bit busy with my studies right now but in july 2008 i will open a community and will share idea answer to reply 5 reasons handling to loads of user is not problem.we can make make rooms of hogwarts like different servers.e.g- if u have played CS then u must be knowing that thr are several maps which can be considered in our case rooms of hogwarts.and each room will have the limitation of users. so no worry about handling the users.secondly we will provide list of the names which user can have which also includes the families like weasley & others so thr will not names like ron45 wich seems to be not real.and fourth if u see HP fans forums ppl are realy eager to join such games.even ppl which are not fans of harry potter can join this and can use it as a 3dchating software and can enjoy to roam in virtual life.

1. I think that is a great idea! I had that idea a while ago as well, but I just played a computer game of it that I bought a long time ago and it wasn't online, but you could still go around hogwarts and stuff, I think it was Chamber of Secrets.
2. this idea would not work for several reasons..... one: handling loads of users in a tight, corridor-like enviroment is every programer's nightmare two: every user will want to be one of the characters of the book, making it hard to market. three: the idea of thosands of players attending school, like it is a game, sounds akin to "watch the grass grow MMOFPS"..... four: It is a stalemate franchise. (stalemate = no new content), you can't just arbitrarily add content if you want to stay true to the books Five: like it or not, Harry potter is a Fad, a trend, in 5 years is very likelly no new users will be added to the game or forum (is too short-lived, to be an MMO investement)
3. Well,I don't see why EA should make "Harry Potter Online". Reason:The book and movie version IS after all better. Another Reason:EA really has a hard time marketing their games,if HP online was made,they will have even more stuff on their plate. Conclusion:The normal DVD/BD media is still better,if they could make HPO in conjuntion with DVD/BD and internet,the system will be much faster and better. However,I wish you luck on your quest for Harry Potter Online.
