Problem with online game PERFORMANCE?
Hey for quite a while now i have been having very poor performance while gaming online (i play mainly Unreal Tournament, Battlefield 2 and some Wolfenstein ET). I have 1mb cable internet from rogers and a pc with 1gb of memory and AMD athalon 3000 + processor and a shitty redeon x 300 graphics but it works OK. May ping on some servers goes crazy and on some others the game even though i have ping around 20 -40. And when i play the single player modes of these games even on high details it runs pretty smoothly. Anybody has any idea how to fix it ??

- levitra, enzyte, viagra, or just go a couple of days without it.
- Get a new videocard. You can't fix it, not even with the detail settings as low as they can go. If your computer still uses AGP cards, consider a new computer or a PCIe motherboard.
- WELL IF URE PLAYING THOSE KINDS OF GAMES 1GB DOES NOT COVER IT U NEED LIKE 80++++++++++++++ THE RAM OF URE COMPUTER DOES MOST OF THE WORK FOR PERFORMANCE ON ONLINE GAMES SO UPGRADE THAT FIRST THEN IF U CAN TRY AND GET A 2.5MB CONNECTION THEIR BETTER BUT THE PROCESSOR IS LEAST IMPORTANT BUT IT WOOD BE A LOT FAST IF U GOT 3400AMD AND WELL THATS ALL BUT TRUST ME I OWN 6PCS AND PLAY TONS OF ONLINE GAMES AND I USED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IT COOD ALSO BE LAG FROM OTHER PLAYER JUST CAUSE U HAV LOW LAG DOESNT MEAN U WILL GET A GD PROFORMANCE OTHER PLAYERS LAG CAN SOMTIMES REALY EFFECT U ITS CALLED CONNECTION INTERUPTED WHICH HAPPENS OFFTEN AND U CANT FIX IT UNLESS U CLOSE THEN RESTART IT OR IF THAT GUY OR PPL CLOSES THEIRS
- There is nothing wrong with an AGP video card, all you need to do is figure out if yours is AGP or PCI, and buy yourself a new one.
- Windows XP likes 512 of ram, the rest of your ram is taken up by whatever is running in the background as well as the game itself. Your pc is having to send/recieve data from the server which burns more of your ram and is might be the source of your problem ( stuttering, lagging & bad frame rates I'm guessing?). Anyway you might try bumping up to 2 gigs ram (it'll definately help your offline play). A couple of other things to try is dropping the detail level in the game so it is not as memory/processor intensive and to cut off all the unimportant junk in the background to free up more ram by start>run "ms config" . Part of the problem may be with the particular server you play on, so try another server to see what happens.
- ''I'm really smart and NO what im doing'' how about for spelling DUMB ASS!!!!!
